Every few months I like revisit my exercise goals and add new routines into the mix.
I think it’s good to evaluate progress and performance on a regular basis.
So, when I recently added Reveal The Steel by Clint Neilsen to my library of Fitness workouts, I instantly knew I had stumbled on to something pretty special, and had to share it with you.
Clint isn’t just another blogger looking to make a quick buck.
He’s built a pretty large community over at his blog Crude Fitness, and he’s all about “Training Without Gimmicks”.
And his program delivers on that promise.
Can Your Body Excel Beyond Average?
Going from program-to-program and working with every diet trick in the book isn’t going to get you seeing awesome results. Most of the time, the minimum is actually what you get. Why, you may ask?
Our bodies work in phases. If you lift a weight enough times, you’re eventually going to get more efficient at handling the load.
It just takes commitment.
In most cases the average person won’t have a whole team to back them up and help them achieve a body that we see actors strutting around in the movies.
Yes. You can work your butt off to get in that kind of conditioning. Yet, you won’t have the watchful eye of a trainer making sure you’re sticking to your diet macros. Also, we’re the ones truly accountable for making sure a workout is done with the right amount of intensity and drive.
This is why it’s important to refocus your game plan every now and then.
So, I keep an eye for new training routines, and ended up heading over to my buddy Clint’s site, and didn’t hesitate to purchase his fitness program: Reveal The Steel.
Clint isn’t some guy who’s been blessed with what he calls “genetically gifted”.
I can totally relate to that.
The inspiring thing about Clint is he’s someone who’s tried it all: tried the gimmicks and magic potions. However, he’s survived and learned how to get in shape for the long-haul. And I think that’s where each of us should also strive for.

Here’s where Clint’s transformation has taken him.
This is why i trust Clint’s approach. He’s proof. He’s just a regular guy who decided to start enjoying his life by changing his body.
If you’re feeling frustrated by the way you look, want to get lean, or get bigger and stronger muscles, I’m going to give you a sneak peek at how Reveal The Steel can help you accomplish your goals.
Who is Reveal The Steel Tailored For?
If you’re looking for a beginner’s course, this isn’t it.
But you don’t have to be balls-to-wall strong to start it either. The progress you can make with this program is up to you.
The one thing I have to say is: if you’re looking for a cookie-cutter program, this isn’t going to be the one for you.
And this is exactly why I decided to review Clint’s program.
Can you pass Clint’s simple test for someone who’s ready for Reveal The Steel?
- You need to be able to squat your bodyweight for a total of 10 reps,
- You need to be able to complete 10 push ups on your feet.
That’s it. Nothing too grueling.
The program was originally intended to be a Men’s course. Luckily, Clint was able to pair with Janelle Waters, who specializes in developing fitness plans for women. Now, it’s not just the guys who are going to develop impressive physique, but anyone who’s truly ready to change the tide in their workouts.
The No Gimmick Workout Approach
Reveal The Steel is divided into four distinct stages. It’s based on a cycled approach. Each the stages uses the 3-day split method, which is one of the better way to keep the routines interesting and also productive.
Stage 1 - The main goal is to increase your strength while also shedding the fat, as a secondary result. It’s the longest stage in the program, yet it’s not overwhelming.
Stage 2 - This is where you’ll increase the size of the muscles. That’s the primary goal. Even though gears have shifted, there’s still the potential to increase the strength of the muscles.
Stage 3 - If you need to target Fat Loss, the is point in the program the most results will be seen. All of the other stages cardio is recommend, but it’s always listed as optional. It’s here when, to really eliminate the fat, the cardio plan needs to be unleashed.
Stage 4 - This is a Bonus Stage. The is for “advanced trainers” looking to really show how much progress they’ve made across the previous stages. Great for an upcoming vacation, or family/friend get together, when you simply want to amaze people with how great in shape you are.
Reveal The Steel is ideally an 18-week program.
Weeks 1-17 are the core of the program, and the final week (18) geared at pushing the “new physique” to a point where a few jaws drop, and a few heads turn round.
A Stride Ahead From Other Workouts Plans
One of the things I like is Clint used Beta Testers to iron out the kinks in his course. I think this is extremely important. It’s also something I typically look for when purchasing a product.
If a program has some early adopters, you can sure bet it’s been put through the ringer and is ready to roll when it’s finally launched. It shows the author has developed a quality plan, and didn’t just string it together without giving it genuine thought.
When you’re got living and breathing people who’ve tested it out, and not the author being the only Guinea Pig, the results are sure to speak volumes.
My Own Experience With Reveal The Steel
I was fairly comfortable with jumping into the workouts of Stage 3. This is where I’m at in my own training right now. But I’m considering on swinging back into Stage 1 later in the year. When I revisit my own goals again.
For the True beginner, I’d actually recommend moving through the Stages (1-4) in order. This way your not leaving the results to chance.
The exercises are easy to adapt for someone, like me, who’s strictly working out from home. I do recommend either having a pair of dumbbells, or a kettlebell handy when working through the strength building stages.
Setting Realistic Expectations For Yourself
There’s no easy way to achieve a body you’d expect to find on someone who’s doing a modeling shoot, or being prepped to be next Summer’s Hollywood heartthrob.
It takes work. Plain and simple.
One key is to know the processes behind increase muscle density, muscle size and really tackle fat loss.
I think Reveal The Steel does a great job at laying out the groundwork, so anyone can speak to why each of the Stages can help train your body for seeing max-results, and also keeping those results all-year long.
There’s never going to be one cookie cutter program to get you looking like a Greek God or Goddess. It’s all about combining efforts to help you along.
If you’re not sure what I exactly mean, here’s a quote I pulled from Clint’s course:

This makes perfect sense, yes?
I Got the Chance To Ask Clint Questions About Reveal The Steel
After I bought Clint’s Reveal The Steel, I emailed him a few questions. Some of the topics revolve around the first thing a beginner should immediately start focusing on, a brilliant new way to build muscle strength and how often a workout program really needs to be switched around.
