The reason was to show you how easy it is to make coconut oil at home.
During the span of time I’ve been using coconut oil I’ve had the chance to do some comparative shopping online and in the retail stores.
This can end up being one pricey kitchen ingredient.
The best way I could think of to keep the price tags from not getting in the way of someone’s health and well-being
…was to show how to cut the cost down dramatically.
My kitchen adventure only set me back $10 to produce a jar of coconut oil.
Yes, I did say: $10.
This beats out the average price for a full jar of organic virgin coconut oil, which runs upwards of $20 or more.
Below is the entire “list of ingredients”, and the step-by-step demonstration to help get you making your own homemade coconut oil right from your own kitchen.
The Easy Way to Make Coconut Oil From Home
Unless you really want to use a machete, crack open near a dozen coconuts, and chop up the coconut meat into bite-sized pieces there’s a much simpler way to replicate coconut oil straight from your kitchen.
The easy way around all that is to pick up a bag of organic, unsweetened coconut flakes.
I like the coconut flakes from the brand Let’s Do…Organic.
You can definitely use the shredded kind if you want. I just prefer to use the flakes as a snack as well as for the oil recipe.
All you need besides the coconut is either a food processor, which I use, or a blender.
Here’s How Simple Making Coconut Oil At Home Is
One thing to note…is I only used 3.5 cups of the coconut flakes. This got me just a little over 4 oz in the video.
If you’re looking to fill up a full jar just increase the amount of flakes to 7 cups.
One more thing…
Even if you’re not a whiz in the kitchen try out the above recipe and leave me a comment below. Also, if you know someone who may find this video helpful…send them a link to this video. Thanks!
